Brendan Gaughan on Texas Motor Speedway :
On Racing for International Trucks/Monaco RVs at Texas …
“I’m very excited to race for International Trucks/Monaco RVs in Texas this week. Texas Motor Speedway is a track I always look forward to and with the way our No. 62 Tundra team has been running, I am even more excited about our team’s chances Friday night.”
Gaughan is a Las Vegas native, for certain, but Texas is one of his family’s homesteads…
“Texas Motor Speedway is near one of my mother’s horse ranches. My family likes to be known as a bunch of cowboys, so it’s important for me to run well there. I think next to our hometown track in Las Vegas , Texas is the most important venue on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule to my dad.”
Gaughan is a 4-time winner at Texas and knows he’s driving for a team with 7 wins there…
“ Texas feels different than any other race track because of the history there. It feels great to show up at Texas , knowing that we are capable of winning with our International Trucks/Monaco RVs Tundra. But, it’s a double-edged sword. If I have a bad race at Texas , it makes it that much worse.”
